I created this stencil while recovering from a severe brain injury. The work attempts to come to terms with life and death and tease out elements of transcendence from our earthly trials. I use a geometric background to represent the plane of existence while the figures, landscapes and creatures coexist, unified by symmetry. Each symbol displays its meaning and harmonizes with the others to tell a story of creation and change.
